For the hardware that are rose gold colour, gold colour, rainbow colour or matte black colour coating will fade and tarnish with use. The materials of the hardware are mainly zinc alloy and brass. Brass is stronger and more resistant to corrosion but might cause slight staining on light colours. Zinc alloy is lighter and will tarnish more easily.
To ensure the well being of your pets, check for wear and tear on the leash frequently. Always check if the hardware are still in good working condition prior to use e.g. screws are tighten properly.
